Join the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association for a webinar featuring the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) Executive Director Emily Torok. The webinar will take place April 27, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM. 

Emily Torok is the Executive Director of the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) within the Ohio Department of Public Safety. One of Emily’s primary responsibilities in this role is developing the OSSC to be a central resource for all things school safety for the state. This work includes building strong partnerships with other agencies, first responders, and school officials as well as identifying best practices and training opportunities to assist schools in preventing, preparing for and responding to acts of violence for both K-12 and Higher Education. Emily has been with the Department since 2015, within the Director’s Office, Homeland Security, and now leading the department’s school safety efforts. Emily earned her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Akron.
