Mission Statement: "The Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association exists to improve the safety of Ohio by leading, representing, educating and supporting Ohio's emergency services".

The Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association is a statewide organization supporting the interests of Ohio's fire chief officers. Through a variety of programs and services, the Association provides education and professional development, legislative advocacy, communication and information exchange and peer networking opportunities throughout the year.

Through the work of its dedicated board of directors and committee volunteers and professional staff, the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association continually focuses on being the premier fire and emergency services organization in the state of Ohio.

Human Dignity Statement:

The Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association (OFCA) promotes inclusion, equality, diversity, and human dignity inside and outside the state’s fire stations.  As cultural diversity increases in our communities, that change must be reflected in the composition of our state, and national, fire and emergency services personnel.

The OFCA will lead by example by taking positive steps to ensure equal opportunity and fair treatment.  The OFCA will work to ensure inclusion, equality, diversity, and human dignity by avoiding discrimination or inequitable treatment.  This includes, but is not limited to, a bias on age, ancestry, color, race, ethnicity, gender, gender expansiveness, marital status, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or other legally protected characteristics.  Allowing such discrimination and unequal treatment weakens our ability to respond to our communities.

It is important that the OFCA, as a premier fire and emergency services organization, maintain an environment committed to inclusion, equality, diversity, and dignity for every individual.  We all assume personal responsibility for assuring that these values extend throughout the fire and emergency medical service, and we must practice these values and educate others on their benefits.  It is simply the right thing to do.
