Liberty Township Fire Department in Butler County, OH has an opening for a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic, lateral hire only.
Liberty Township is located in southwest Ohio in the center of the fast-growing Cincinnati-Dayton metroplex. Located along I-75 with Cincinnati 20 miles to the south and Dayton 25 miles to the north, Liberty Township’s 28 square miles is home to over 44,000 residents with a median age of 38 years old.
The Liberty Township Fire Department (LTFD) is a combination of full-time/part-time firefighters and EMS providers. In 2024, the LTFD saw over 3,900 fire and EMS runs. Daily staffing is 18 with minimum staffing of 14.

All successful candidates will complete: physical abilities assessment of job-related tasks, polygraph and background check, physical examination with drug screen, psychological exam and oral interviews. Selection is based on the most qualified applicant determined by a compilation of all the above steps.
Pay/Benefits*:
Starting salary up to $33.62 per hour based on service credit. Benefits include:
48 hour work week paid bi-weekly

Uniform allowance $996.53/year

Earned vacation at time of hire up to 240 hours
156 hours of sick leave per year
88 hours holiday pay

Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited high school or G.E.D.
Certification by the State of Ohio as a Fire Fighter Level II
Certification by the State of Ohio as a Paramedic
