Turtlecreek Township is now accepting applications for Full Time Firefighter/Paramedic-preferred or Firefighter/EMT. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
Step 1 pay for 2025 is $21.63 (EMT) - $23.69 (medic) per hour with full benefit package paid by employer. Service credit for full-time service with a political subdivision of the State of Ohio will be accepted for vacation accrual rates. Per the contract with IAFF Local #5353, perks and benefits associated with working for the township include: • Paid Time off which includes Holidays – 92 additional hours of holiday compensation paid annually, worked holidays receive time and a half compensation. Vacation – Accrual at hire of 1.846 hours per pay period (year 1) 4.615 hours per pay (years 2-5) • Benefits – Health Insurance (Premiums are currently employer paid at 100%) Co-Insurance and Deductible reimbursed to employee up to an allotted amount. Dental and Vision insurance provided by the employer o $100,000 life insurance policy provided by the employer • Ohio Police & Fire Pension • Hours are 24/48 • Kelly Day every 6 weeks (52-hour work week)
